Singapore pushes clinical longevity care into the mainstream
From Chi Longevity's precision health model to a new Geromedicine Conference at NUS, Singapore is positioning itself as a hub for translating longevity science into real-world clinical practice.
Singapore is emerging as a focal point for the clinical application of longevity science, according to two recent reports from Longevity Technology. Chi Longevity, a Singapore-based clinic, reflects a growing convergence of preventive medicine, precision health and policy in what is described as one of Asia's fastest-aging societies. The report notes that while Singapore is not short of healthcare innovation generally, its move toward integrated, personalised longevity care marks a distinct clinical turn.
Separately, Singapore is set to convene clinical longevity leaders at the Geromedicine Conference, hosted at the National University of Singapore (NUS). The conference will focus on translating geroscience into personalised care, supporting startup innovation, and identifying real-world pathways for bringing longevity science out of the laboratory and into clinical settings. Organisers frame this moment as an 'awkward adolescence' for longevity science, where mechanisms are increasingly understood but practical, scalable applications remain a work in progress.
Together, these developments suggest that Singapore is building institutional infrastructure, spanning clinics, policy engagement and academic convening, to support the maturation of longevity medicine as a distinct clinical discipline in the region.
