Not medical advice
Not medical advice
variis is a journalism publication. It reports on longevity science, clinics, protocols, markets, and policy across Singapore and Australia. Nothing on variis is medical advice, and nothing on variis is a substitute for a qualified healthcare professional who knows you.
What variis is
variis is a source-grounded, evidence-graded journalism publication covering longevity science, protocols, clinics, markets, and policy in Singapore and Australia. Our work is educational and journalistic. We report on trials, interview clinicians, profile providers, track policy, and grade the strength of the evidence behind the claims we cover.
That is reporting. It is not clinical practice.
What variis is NOT
variis is not a medical provider. variis is not your doctor. No writer, editor, or contributor at variis has a clinical relationship with you.
Content on this site is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. No article, no protocol summary, no clinic profile, and no evidence grade constitutes a medical recommendation for you or for anyone else.
Editorial approach
Every claim on variis is source-grounded and evidence-graded. That is a reporting standard, not a clinical standard.
Reporting a clinical trial result is not the same as recommending you undertake that intervention. Reporting on a protocol offered at a clinic is not the same as endorsing that protocol. Grading the evidence behind a compound is not the same as prescribing it. The distinction matters, and we hold to it in every piece we publish.
Consult a healthcare professional
Before making any decision about supplements, protocols, treatments, medications, exercise programs, diagnostics, or other health interventions discussed on variis, consult a qualified healthcare professional who knows you and your medical history.
Individual circumstances vary. Age, existing conditions, medications, family history, and lab values all shape what is appropriate for a specific person. General reporting cannot account for yours. A qualified clinician can.
In an emergency
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately.
In Singapore, dial 995. In Australia, dial 000.
Do not use variis, or any other information source, as a substitute for emergency medical care.
Longevity clinic profiles
The clinics variis profiles are named. Their inclusion is journalistic, not a recommendation.
Inclusion is not endorsement. Absence is not indictment. Pricing, staffing, and offerings change over time, and details reported on variis may be out of date by the time you read them. Verify with the clinic directly before acting on anything you read here.
Protocol summaries
The protocols variis explains, including rapamycin, GLP-1 receptor agonists, senolytics, metformin, peptide therapies, and others, each carry an evidence level.
That level describes the strength of the published evidence behind the protocol. It does not describe the safety, efficacy, or appropriateness of that protocol for you.
Some protocols we cover are experimental. Some are off-label. Some are unapproved in your jurisdiction. Some carry known risks that are meaningful for certain patients and negligible for others. A qualified healthcare professional can tell you whether a specific protocol is appropriate for your situation. variis cannot.
Reader responsibility
You are responsible for how you act on information from variis.
The publisher assumes no liability for outcomes arising from your use of the content on this site. If you choose to pursue a protocol, contact a clinic, order a diagnostic, or change a medication based on something you read here, that decision is yours, and its consequences are yours. See /terms for the full liability statement.
