New trial to test precision geromedicine for healthy ageing
The PROMETHEUS study will examine tailored lifestyle, supplement, and drug approaches to counter age-related disease as global populations age.
A new clinical trial, PROMETHEUS (PRecision gerOMedicinE: Tailored Healthy agEing With Lifestyle, sUpplements and drugS) has been registered on ClinicalTrials.gov. The study is designed against a backdrop of a growing global population of older adults, which is driving an increase in age-related diseases and placing substantial strain on healthcare systems worldwide. According to the trial registration, current therapeutic strategies often focus on treating individual diseases rather than addressing the broader biological processes of ageing itself. PROMETHEUS aims to explore a more tailored, precision-based approach, combining lifestyle interventions, supplements and drug treatments to support healthy ageing outcomes.
This is a trial registration, not a clinical result. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before considering any intervention discussed here.
